Sonoita-Elgin Fire District, a dynamic combination department in SE Arizona, invites applications from internal and external candidates for the following position-
The Sonoita – Elgin Fire District is seeking a community-minded individual to fill a current vacancy on their five-member board. This term expires November 30, 2024 This is a voluntary position. Board members must be registered voters and reside within the Sonoita-Elgin Fire District boundaries for a minimum of 12 months prior to the appointment. Regular board meetings are generally held monthly on the fourth Monday at 9:00 a.m. at the Fire House.
Please come by the district office at 3173 HWY 83 between 9-4 and pickup an application by 31 December, 2020.
Applications need to be back to the district no later than 4pm on January 8, 2021.
The Board will review all applications and hold Candidate interviews on February 1, 2021 at 9am. After the interview process, the Board will make their selection and have the Fire Chief notify the selected candidate. The selected applicant will be administered their Oath of Office during the week of February 8-12 and take their position on the Board at the regularly scheduled Board meeting on 22, 2021.
